Book NowThe FTA has introduced mandatory e-invoicing in the UAE starting from July 2026 for B2B and B2G transactions. All VAT-registered businesses are required to generate and submit invoices in structured XML format following the PINT AE standard through an ASP using the Peppol Network to the e-Billing system in real-time.
Oracle Fusion ERP is a cloud-based system used by many businesses to manage their business operations but it does not support the UAE’s e-invoicing mandate by default.
Businesses need to use a Peppol-certified Accredited Service Provider like Flick’s e-invoicing software to generate structured invoices, validate them based on FTA requirements and submit them in real time to the FTA’s e-Billing system through the Peppol Network.
You can integrate your Oracle Fusion ERP with Flick to automate the entire e-invoicing process and in this blog, we will explain how you can integrate your Oracle Fusion ERP with Flick’s e-invoicing software.
There are two ways to integrate Oracle Fusion ERP with Flick’s e-invoicing solution based on whether Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is available in your setup or not:
Oracle Integration Cloud is a cloud-based platform from Oracle that allows seamless data flow between Oracle Fusion and external systems.
If your Oracle Fusion ERP setup does not include Oracle Integration Cloud, you can still integrate with Flick’s e-invoicing software using Oracle’s native tools such as BI Publisher and standard APIs.
How it works:
1. Extracting Invoice Data using BI Publisher
Flick prepares a BI Report within Oracle Fusion that extracts all required invoice details including buyer information, VAT breakdown, item-level data and totals in XML format.
2. Transforming the Data into Structured Format
The extracted data is formatted to align with the UAE’s e-invoicing requirements based on the PINT AE standard so it is ready for submission in a valid XML or JSON structure.
3. Submitting Invoices through APIs
Flick submits the structured invoice data to its e-invoicing system using SOAP or REST APIs where it is validated and then forwarded to the UAE’s e-Billing system through the Peppol Network in real time.
4. Receiving FTA Response
After the invoice is submitted, Flick receives the official response from the FTA with the Invoice Reference Number, buyer delivery status and FTA status which are essential for compliance and recordkeeping.
5. Updating Oracle Fusion using Descriptive Flexfields (DFF)
Flick updates Oracle Fusion ERP with the IRN, buyer delivery status and FTA status using Descriptive Flexfields so users can view and track the compliance status directly within their ERP interface.
For Oracle Fusion ERP setups that include Oracle Integration Cloud, Flick offers a streamlined integration approach that enables end-to-end automation with minimal configuration effort:
1. Retrieving Invoice Data Using OIC
OIC connects directly with Oracle Fusion to retrieve invoice data required for UAE e-invoicing so there is no need for manual BI report setup or data extraction.
2. Preparing Data in PINT AE Format
OIC maps and transforms the invoice data to align with the PINT AE standard so the structure is valid for FTA submission through the Peppol Network.
3. Submitting to Flick via API
The transformed data is submitted to Flick’s e-invoicing system using REST API then Flick will validate the invoice and forward it to the FTA’s e-Billing system in real time.
4. Receiving and Processing the FTA Response
After the invoice is submitted and reviewed by the FTA, Flick receives the response with the Invoice Reference Number, buyer delivery status and FTA status.
5. Updating Oracle Fusion ERP
Flick will pass the response data to OIC which then updates Oracle Fusion where the IRN, buyer delivery status and FTA status are saved in predefined fields such as Descriptive Flexfields for easy access within the ERP.
Flick’s e-invoicing software seamlessly integrates with Oracle Fusion and is fully compliant with the FTA’s e-invoicing regulations in the UAE with 5 years of global e-invoicing experience:
